DLB Angus, located in Finksburg, Carroll County Maryland is family operated and steeped in Angus History. Long before DLB Angus was founded, Angus cattle roamed the meadows as part of the famous Cold Saturday Farms. My grandfather, Horace S. Brauning Sr purchased the farm in the early 60s and had been raising commercial cattle. In 1971 he learned there was an Angus Herd Dispersal at VPI and decided to attend with the intention of returning registered Angus cattle to the farm. My grandfather and I attended the dispersal. As a result, Angus cattle returned to the meadows with the purchase of 5 Angus cows from the VPI Dispersal. Several years later my grandfather decided to retire and my father David L. Brauning Sr took his place. DLB Angus was born.

Today, as the result of 33 years of an intensive breeding and purchasing program DLB Angus offers sound and productive Angus cattle with years of AHIR. Additionally, our cattle are successful in the show ring both locally and nationally. DLB Angus continues to improve the quality and efficiency of our cattle to provide the best Angus Cattle possible.
